Jerry Purdue is on trial for the murder of his best friend Peter
Calendar. The two of them were in Vietnam together and Jerry
refuses to give his lawyer any help with his defence because he knows
something that he doesn't want to tell, something that Peter's parents
should not have to hear. Finally, he relents and tells the story,
but only after his lawyer promises not to use the story in court.
