Mrs Goddard is a music teacher who is behind
with her rent. Pete's character, Edward, is one of her
students. He is a dancer who is taking singing lessons to increase
his chances of getting parts on Broadway. He is not a talented
singer and knows it, but when Mrs Goddard is told that she must come up
with the back rent she owes, she tells Edward that he has great
potential and should take extra lessons and pay up front immediately. |
