The Virginian
| The Virginian was a 90 minute western series
set in the 1890s which ran from 1962 to 1970 and starred James Drury.
Pete appeared in two episodes of The Virginian - The
Good-Hearted Bad Man in 1968 and The
Price of Love in 1969.

Jim Dewey is an outlaw leader with charm and something of a good
heart. When he is shot by a bounty hunter, he is found by
Elizabeth Grainger and the Graingers take him in and nurse him back to
health. Whilst caring for him, Elizabeth begins to fall for his
charms and when the Graingers discover who he really is and decide to
turn him in, Elizabeth decides to help him. |

Denny Todd had had a difficult childhood but eventually settled with
and was raised by the Graingers but then ran away after some
problems. The Graingers loved him as a son but hadn't seen him for
many years until the day he returns as an adult. Denny is quickly
offered a job with them and his loyalty to Clay Grainger is unfailing -
until
eventually it seems to have gone too far and Clay must then face
the fact that Denny may have killed a man who posed a threat to Clay.
