Aaron Silverman (one of the Young Lawyers)
spots Pete's character (Dom Acosta) in a bar. Dom is a musician
on parole from a drugs possession sentence. At his trial
Silverman defended Dom and got him off the charge of use but not
possession of drugs. In the bar, Dom thinks that he wants to
turn him in. Silverman doesn't understand why he thinks this and
sets out to find out the terms of his parole which turn out to be very
strict - he is forbidden from associate with any musicians, forbidden
to go out of a certain area and forbidden from associating with any
known or suspected addict - including his wife as she is an addict.
