The Mexican revolution provides the colourful
and dramatic background to this stirring tale of heroism. George
Peppard stars as Rod Douglas, a US Army Captain who is assigned the
"suicidal" mission of subduing the vicious bandit
Cordoba. Cordoba, whose most recent raid has resulted in the
capture of General Peshing's artillery and Pershing wants them
back. With a ramshackle task force consisting of guardhouse
riff-raff and army misfits, Captain Douglas crosses the border to face a
fierce and bloody battle for the sake of a cannon.
